Last week, we dealt with a question, and I think it's a really good question.

There are people out there who are Christians who have a relationship with Christ who do not

necessarily believe the way we do about eschatology.

A millennialists who say there will be no millennium and that the church will be taken

into a spiritual condition when Jesus comes again. Post-millennialists who say the millennium

has already been unfolding for the past couple thousand years and that the church is really in

charge of the millennium. There are all kinds of beliefs out there about eschatology,

and the question is, are such people saved if they just differ in belief from us? And of course,

we're right, correct? Yes. There's a little irony there. We think we're right. It does raise a question. Are they saved? Or are they so guilty of heresy that they should be considered beyond salvation? I think, I really believe that we are not talking about belief in the person and work of Christ when we discuss eschatology.

The person and work of Christ that is receiving Christ as Lord really has little to do with

what you believe about his return.

You can be a faithful Christian in one of those churches that is very obviously mistaken in some of its fundamental

beliefs and still be saved.

I think that you can go down the list, Roman Catholic disciples of Christ, you can go through

the European churches, the Lutheran, the Anglican, even the Swedenborgian, if you want to go to that extent.

I mean, you can go down the list of churches that all have beliefs other than pre-tribulational,

pre-millennial belief. And I'm sure there are people in those churches that are saved.
