Bible memory made simple.

Now, there are spiritual disciplines which are activities, practices, things that,

when they are rightly motivated, help us to become more like Jesus.

And there are spiritual fruits, which are attitudes and character qualities, according to Galatians chapter 5, verses 22 to 25.

Now, the only road to Christian maturity is through the practice of spiritual disciplines.

God uses three main tools to develop us.

He uses people, he uses circumstances,

and spiritual disciplines like Bible, prayer, worship, service, stewardship, and fasting.

And memorizing Bible verses is one of those spiritual disciplines that help to mature you into the person God wants you to be.

Now why would we want to do that?

Well Jesus quoted the Old Testament over 60 times in the New Testament.

Additionally, there is over 100 other references of Jesus alluding to specific Old Testament scriptures in the Gospels.

When personally Jesus was tempted by the devil, he quoted the Old

Testament to defeat the devil against his schemes. And so when you're memorizing the scriptures,

you're putting God's Word into your heart. Here are eight reasons you should develop the habit
