Here in the United States, the sexual revolution of 1960s and 1970s

has given a way to the hookup culture

where sex is essentially disconnected from any type of commitment or meaningful relationship.

The sexual revolution in 1960s and 1970s introduced the contraceptives

which separated sex from procreation. The feminist movement emphasized sexual liberation and autonomy over traditional values and roles.

There was a widespread rejection of traditional morality.

The premarital sex became normalized.

The institution of marriage was increasingly viewed as optional.

Pornography became more accessible and mainstream. And many people's view about sex came from

pornography, came from the culture instead of what the Bible teaches. Now since the year 2000 until present, the personal choice

and individual desires they reign supreme. There's no external moral authority dictating

sexual behavior for people in our culture, even those who claim to believe in God. Same-sex

marriage became legalized in many nations.

There's a rise of situationships and open relationships

where people have more than one partners and it's becoming more trendy.

Dating apps like Tinder promote hookup culture.

Pornography, consumption, sky rocks.

It's all over TikTok and Twitter.
