in the original language here that just bring this verse to light. So one,

the be strong is actually a passive verb. So it's literally be strengthened by someone else.

So this is not strength that you muster up on your own because you're weak. We are weak,

spiritually weak. This verse starts a whole passage on

spiritual armor and spiritual battle. There is an adversary who wants to pull us away from God today.

There is an adversary who wants to destroy our lives, who wants to destroy the lives of those

we love around us, every single person around us,

every single person around the world.

And so where do we find strength in spiritual battle?

And the language is clear.

In the Lord, in Jesus.

And this is the other thing that's so good.
