Hey, this is Trey. Thank you for joining us for a Tuesday edition of our podcast. I call this kind of podcast popery, a mixture of items that captured my attention this week and no particular order because that would assume that my mind is ordered in some structured way, and it usually is not.

But here it goes.

I read where South Carolina is among the top states and the country when it comes to where people are both moving and perhaps looking to move.

And some of these so-called best of list can be hard to interpret.

I mean, some may be paid advertisement. Some depend on what you're looking for. If you're moving

later in life and your children are no longer in school, you might be looking for something

different from someone with small children. Some

folks want a big city, some want to be able to drive across town in 10 minutes. What struck me

reading the story is how South Carolina can offer pretty much whatever you want. Other states

can too. I don't mean to single South Carolina out, but I'm most familiar with this state.

I do sometimes wonder where my wife and I would move if I were to somehow be banished from this state.

I think I read the word banished in connection with Great Britain here lately.

Someone was banished. I don't anticipate being banished from connection with Great Britain here lately. Someone was banished.

I don't anticipate being banished from South Carolina.

But I do wonder sometimes when it's 100 degrees in August here in the upstate of South Carolina, what like Colorado would feel like, when the humidity is over 100%, which I don't think is possible,

but it sure feels like it. I do wonder kind of what maybe a dry heat like Phoenix would feel like.

But the truth is, I will never leave South Carolina. We have big cities with Greenville, Charleston, Columbia.

We have proximity to even bigger cities in Charlotte and Atlanta. We have the ocean. We have mountains.

We have all four seasons. We have quality health care. People are extremely friendly and kind.

We have history. And we have future, the future of manufacturing.

We have fantastic centers of higher education and technical schools.

And literally less than four hours.
