and as a teacher I know that one of the most important weapons in my arsenal to get a point across to a

student, to make sure they'll never forget the lesson. Although they'll deeply internalize what I was

saying, from the abstract to the concrete is examples.

Any great teacher you've ever had was great because they gave wonderful examples to help

you understand a difficult problem.

Allah has done that in the Quran.

He calls himself the teacher in the Quran, He talked the Quran, and as a teacher,

he gives remarkable, remarkable examples.

But the thing about the examples in the Quran

is that they have a bit of a different formula.

They're these immersive images.

It's like this really artistic scene.

And the more you contemplate the example, you get drowned into that scene, you get immersed into that scene and you have to visualize everything going on around you.

And then you have to pull yourself back and figure out what is it that Allah is getting across by painting this vivid picture and immersing you in it.

It's actually a really fascinating process to go through contemplating an example.

Last Ramadan, we explored half the examples from the Quran, really from the first half of the Quran,

and we didn't get to finish. And this year we're going to continue with the other examples from the Quran, really from the first half of the Quran, and we didn't get to finish.

And this year we're going to continue with the other examples of the Quran belonging to the second half.

I'm really excited to do that because one of the most beautiful things we discovered last year.

As you study these examples in the Quran, you realize that they're actually part of a collage.

In other words, Allah will talk about an image or an example here, which is very vivid.
