So, Acts chapter 2 is obviously the second chapter of Acts, and last week we drove this

series sort of out of the gate with some overarching ideas about what this series is going

to tell us and sort of how we're going to navigate our way through this summer series.

And so we had four big overarching ideas, two potential cul-de-sacs we want to avoid,

and at least three outcomes that we're praying for for the house.

And if you miss that, or even if you were here, it's kind of nice to regroup.

And here's what they were.

The four major themes that we're going to see through the summer are these.

That in Acts we're going to see the authority of Jesus.

That's going to be one of the main themes that we're going to see throughout the book.

That Jesus is Lord.

In fact, let's just say that if you believe it, if you're not sure yet, just hang on.

But if you believe it, like steep down in there, can we just say that together?

Jesus is Lord.

See, that's a big idea.

That's a different idea that I'm just going to go to church today and kind of see what

the guy has to say and kind of see how that matches up with I'm thinking.

It's a different idea to say Jesus, you're Lord of all and you're Lord of my life.

So major theme in the book of Acts.

The second theme we talked about was that we all have an assignment, and that assignment

is to carry the name of Jesus to every person alive on planet Earth.

That's not somebody's assignment.
