Hey, everybody. Welcome to the What Is Money Show. I'm sitting down today with a new star in Bitcoin Twitter. Mr. Mike Alfred. Mike is an independent investor and he recently sold two software

companies, one to our friends over at Nidig. And Mike and I are going to be talking about the book,

the Dow of Capital, written by Mark Spitznagle today, which is a really good book. So Mike,

it's been a long time coming. Welcome to the show.

Yeah, thanks so much. excited about this. I've been listening to your show. It's my wife calls you

the professor of Bitcoin because you go so deep. Because of the way you talk, she heard you on

Twitter spaces the other day and she was very impressed. Well, I am honored.

I'll take it of all the we're just saying offline that, you know, if you're on Bitcoin

Twitter and you're not getting praised and or attacked or both really, then you're not doing it

right. So professor seems like a good nickname. I'll take that one. Yeah, I know I know a lot about both, by the way. It's been a

wild ride since I started using Twitter more actively in June of this year. I never really

used it before and a lot to learn, right? But, you know, there's good sides and bad size to

social media as it relates to Bitcoin Twitter, but I'd say it's a net positive for me.

Yeah, it's definitely contentious all the time, very adversarial. But once you, I guess,

get used to it, it's just, it's sport, you know. It's just a fun place to sharpen yourself and

hopefully sharpen others.

Yeah, I view it as performance art at this point.

I think a lot of people are mostly performing.

And I've even had situations where I've met people from Bitcoin Twitter in real life.

And then they go back on Bitcoin Twitter and start the performance art again. And I can't tell whether they're serious or not because we've already met in person. So I'm not sure what's going on there. But it's very

interesting media. Yeah, it's a totally different vibe when you meet someone in real life. It

tends to be very, they tend to be a whole different version of themselves like very nice a lot of camaraderie you know
