I heard something the other day from Tarantino, of all people, that I, that really struck me.

He was talking about why make movies.

And he was being pushed because some people are saying we're living in the golden age of

TV. Maybe we are. You know, certainly Yellowstone and everything that's come out and God,

breaking bad and the Sopranos. Extraordinary stuff. But his point was, you know, I watched

Yellowstone, all of it. I watched all four

seasons. Then I watched some 1883 or whatever that was. And in the end, I went for a ride. And I,

and I became invested in the fate of many of these characters. But I can't really tell you what happened.

And it's not that I didn't enjoy it while I was watching it.

It's just that it now lives in my memory as a kind of smeared soap opera.

Yep.

Right?

As opposed to Fort Apache, Red River, I mean, go down the list of the stagecoach, right?

Yep.

Like those movies, they happen and they become, as what's his name said of The Matrix,

a splinter in your mind.

You know, they live.

Yeah, and it's a manageable, it's a manageable time frame for human consciousness

to get its mind around.

Two hours, start, middle, and end.

And it's like, okay, I can't process much more than they can't, I mean, if you're,

if you're binge watching five seasons of something, you're watching 30 hours,
