It is Monday morning? No, it's not.

Do you imagine if it was Monday morning and you would get an awful lot of people saying,

what's going to happen to Liz Trust? Is she going to keep her job?

Is she going to be kicked out? Is the Tory party going to go, no, she didn't

work, let's get another leader? We wake up this morning, right? And all of the things that

happened last week seem to have disappeared. There's no headlines saying that the Tory party

are in desperation. There's no suggestion that the pound is crashing against the dollar.

There's nobody saying, actually, the bond market the dollar. There's nobody saying, actually,

the bond market is collapsing. There's nobody saying, maybe we should find another leader.

There's nobody saying Liz Truss is hopeless.

U-turn or face election wipeout is what Truss is warned apparently on the front page of the Times.

But what does that mean? We've got all sorts

of headlines which say basically Liz Truss has kind of shored up the doubters. She's managed to

convince people that she's in there, at least for the short haul, if not for the long haul.

There is nobody you can find this morning who doesn't think that Liz Truss is going to be in

charge of this country for the foreseeable future. doesn't think that Liz Truss is going to be in charge of this country

for the foreseeable future. And I think that's about right. Rebel MPs have been urged to fall in line

behind Liz Truss. And that's where we are. So all of the people from last week, if you remember
