You know, over the past few weeks, we've had some amazing guest teachers.

Remember, last week and then the week before and the next week, we're going to have an

incredible teacher as well.

But before that, we had just jumped back into the book of Matthew.

We're kind of on this rotation of doing the practices, practicing the way of Jesus

together and working our way through the book of Matthew.

And that's where we're going to pick up today.

Now hopefully, you'll remember that last time we were here, Alex walked us through the

beginning of chapter 8.

And this is where Jesus had just finished his famous sermon on the Mounts and was beginning

now to demonstrate the reality of that kingdom through the miraculous.

So he was doing miracles.

He will remember some of the stories that maybe Alex talked about, the Centurion, the

Sky.

He was like, I believe, even from afar, I believe you can heal.

And he did.

It was like this beautiful expression of the kingdom.

Now it's at this point in the book of Matthew that we see Jesus as one scholar puts it

move from teacher to Lord.

He's kind of making this shift into not just teaching, but into actually doing what it

is that he's been talking about.

And of course, there's a ton of things to marvel at here in the life of Jesus.
