the book of Acts, we are in Acts chapter 27. The Apostle Paul has just been heard by two

rulers, King Agrippa, who is the Jewish figurehead king and a Roman pro council, Festus. And the

two of them have decided Paul has to go to Caesar because he has appealed to Caesar and that's

where he legally must go. And so in chapter 27, we hear about the journey on the way to Rome.

It says, and when it was decided that we should sail for Italy, now pause for a moment, you

notice it's saying we now. It's in kind of a first person voice. That means the author Luke is

now with Paul. He must have come and visited or he must have come to see Paul and decided to

accompany him as he's being taken to Rome. So when it was decided that we should sail for Italy,

they delivered Paul and some other prisoners to a centurion of the Augustine court named Julius.

And embarking in a ship of, man, I'm going to butcher this word, a ship of ad remitium,

which was about to sail to the ports along the coast of Asia. We put to see a company by

Aristarchus, a Macedonian from Thessalonica. The next day, we put in at Siden in Julius treated
