Okay. So we are just 29 days out from the presidential election. People are voting across the country and all those key swing states you hear about already. And Vice President Kamal Harris and Governor

Tim Walls are on quite a media blitz right now. I mean, Tim Walls was unleashed on Fox News

yesterday. It seemed to go pretty well. Harris was unleashed on the popular podcast call her daddy.

And both of them will sit down with a slew of podcast daytime and late night hosts in the coming

days. And believe me,

I would love to talk to you about my take on all of these media strategies, and we definitely

will during the show. But we kind of have to start somewhere else tonight. Because right now,

on a parallel track to all of the interviews and the campaign events and early voting and pretty normal election year kind of stuff, we have a Republican nominee who will lie about anything if he thinks he can benefit from that lie. We have a maga machine that then amplifies those lies on his behalf, and we are watching real people suffer as a result.

I mean, for the past few days, Donald Trump has been brazenly lying about the federal government's

response to Hurricane Helene. Overnight, he once again repeated the complete lie

that the Biden administration used disaster funds for migrants instead of helping people impacted

by the hurricane. That is not true. It has been repeatedly fact-checked and easily debunked.

I mean, right here right now, I can debunk it right now for you. Those are two entirely different

programs funded by two completely different sources. Trump knows that.

Those FEMA funds are directed by Congress, including by many of the members who are echoing

this attack to be spent on disaster response specifically.

Congress directed them specifically for that.

Just listen to Vice President Harris call Trump out, fact check as lies, and urge people to listen to actual authorities just a few hours ago.

There's a lot of mis and disinformation being pushed out there by the former president about what is available in particular to the survivors of the lien.

And first of all, it's extraordinarily irresponsible.

It's about him. It's not about you.

And the reality is that FEMA has so many resources that are available to folks who desperately need them.
