This is Robbie Martin. So we felt it necessary to do kind of an urgent broadcast about the impending or potentially impending war with Iran. Robbie and I have been discussing this ever since Trump got elected, all of the kind of maneuvering that Trump has been doing in his office with his

administration, his personal actions, who he's been surrounding himself with. First, let me introduce

our guest, which is Mike Prysner, my partner, producer of Empire Files, co-host of the podcast,

Eyes Left with another anti-war veteran Spencer Rapone. Mike is a Iraq war veteran

turned anti-imperialist, and he has some really crucial and unique insight on the third iteration

of the war in Iraq that Trump is now launching, as well as the potential war with Iran. So before we get into all of what's going on,

Robbie, why don't you set the stage for us and give us some context about the last 48 hours

by talking about what Trump has done since he's gotten elected? So, I mean, as everybody

probably already knows who's been following our podcast and just in general,

these pushes for war in the Middle East. Iran has been something that has been looming over

our heads for over, you know, almost 20 years now. I mean, specifically the idea that the next major war was going to be in

Iran, I'm going to go over later in this podcast how so much of the propaganda we're hearing now is

direct echo of the Bush era. And it's very clear that it is that it's essentially like the same

forces, the same people, even in some

cases. But just since the Trump administration has gone in office, we have seen what is literally a

rolling back the clock to the Bush era of the way that the Trump administration has decided to

deal with Iran. And actually, arguably, in many instances, more hawkish, more hardline,

less compromising than the Bush administration was in terms of their position towards Iran.

I really think that needs to sink in for people because we like to look back at the Bush

administration as being the most hawkish,

war-hungry, crazy unhinged neo-con administration that we've ever seen. Now, if you actually measure
