Summary

What do good theology, Pelagius, fish-n-chips, and suffering have in common? The answer is today's guest, the most extraordinary Welsh mind since Pelagius: Dr. Derek Thomas. After a bit of banter and an impressive bit of Welsh, Derek sits down with Carl and Todd to discuss preaching—specifically, Calvin's sermons on Job and the theology of preaching. I struggle with these titles because it clearly means you think you're better than me. I have a bit of chip on my shoulder. I'm living in the northeast, but I'm from Houston, Texas. I'm around Presbyterians, but I was raised Southern Baptist. And so I always feel like I'm a bit looked down upon.

1:22.6

1:29.2

So I would want to affirm you in what you're feeling it's entirely natural and you will get over it.

1:35.1

Well, I love Pennsylvania. It's a wonderful suburb of Texas, and it's a beautiful area.
