And I have told people to write down their goals.

I have told people to focus on their goals every single day.

And goals are great. They are important, but goals are extremely overrated.

Goals can actually become really demotivating if you are really far away from those goals.

You know, so sometimes people are like,

alright, I'm going to write down my 10-year goal,

and they might get excited about it.

Some people write down their 10-year goal,

and it actually becomes demotivating because they're like,

oh my God, I'm so far away, I'm so far behind, there's so many things I need to do to get there,

I'll never get there and they don't do anything.
