Summary
Today's episode is all about what I've learned from doing the 75 Style Hard challenge, created by fashion TikToker Mandy Lee (Old Loser in Brooklyn). The rules are to get dressed intentionally every day for 75 days, buy nothing new, document outfits, and set personal style goals. For me, daily styling has revealed that fit issues were the main reason I avoided many items in my closet, so tailoring has been the key to success in this challenge. I've realized I wear durable fabrics most and I've leaned into using hair, makeup, and accessories to refresh outfits. Tune in as I discuss the novelty effect, impulse buying, and the importance of “domesticating” clothes into a signature style, because ultimately, style is a relationship with what you already own.

| 0:50.0 | creator, Mandy Lee, her TikTok handle is old loser in Brooklyn. I love her. I followed her for a long time. |
| 0:55.6 | She started this in 2024. It's basically a take on the classic 75 hard fitness challenge, |
| 1:01.6 | but for style. These are the rules. Number one, get dressed every day for 75 days. |
| 1:08.2 | Quite honestly, the challenge could begin and end there. Putting on an intentional outfit, |
| 1:13.1 | like putting together a look every day for 75 days, especially for those of us who work from home, |
| 1:18.9 | that is a challenge. Like that's not nothing. Every day, two and a half months, even if it's casual, |
| 1:25.1 | you put together a look. That's important. Now, number two, |
| 1:28.4 | this is the crux of the challenge. Do not buy anything new. Get creative with what you have. |
| 1:35.6 | Use your brain, not your wallet. Number three, document your daily outfits. Now, I will admit, |
| 1:42.5 | I didn't do this part consistently, but the idea is that |
| 1:45.5 | taking a photo every day for 75 days gives you clarity on what actually looks good and what your |
| 1:51.8 | patterns are. And then number four, set your own goals or intentions throughout the 75 days. |
| 1:57.5 | Your intention might be, I want to wear more color. I want to create a better closet |
