We started to refer to this as the Purple Heart Fraudster case. Right's victims are veterans who feel

their sacrifices have been tarnished by his lives. Their valor has been stolen.

It's like a stab in the heart and then twisting it deeper.

That's how it feels.

In 2005, the Iraq War is grinding on with no end in sight.

Darrell Wright, then a lieutenant with the Idaho National Guard,

is just one of 140,000 American troops serving here.

But he stands out.

First thing you notice when you meet Daryl Wright is how incredibly tall he is.

I mean, this guy's, I don't know how tall he is, but he's the tallest guy I've ever met in the

Army.

Wright's job is helping turn local Iraqis into a lean, mean fighting force.

Basic task, how to shoot a weapon, how to play grenades, how to do whatever, and just started

teach him like a mini boot camp.

Brad Awny, Wright's first sergeant, works closely with him.
