futures now show the odds of a June rate rise from the Fed have increased to 32%. The idea of higher

rates as soon as next month, also pushing the dollar higher. Mariana Cush Lakota, the former

Minneapolis Fed president, told Bloomberg surveillance this morning.

Central banks have something of a communications problem.

I think the simple banks are conveying, unfortunately,

are communicating a sense of powerlessness,

and that feeds back on itself to to generate

lower inflation expectations, lower inflation outcomes.
