Well, we conservatives have seen a lot of erosions of the freedoms and the economic opportunities and so on that this country once had, and we certainly can sit there and say, you know what, it sure could be a lot better than it is, but let me tell you something, folks, every now and then you need to hear, could be worse, too. one of them talked about the current state of the European Union vis-a-vis the United States,

a little French that I threw in there for you, just to enrich you culturally.

When the European Union was founded, European productivity was 98% that of the United States. Now it's 80% that of the

United States. So we are actually increasing the productivity gap over the EU. And then I saw

another chart that showed that US and Canadian private investment in the per capita in the private sector were rising

pretty much parallel with each other as per capita investment in the private sector until

the election of Mr. Trudeau, at which point Canada simply falls off a cliff and the gap now

is they're not even on the same chart.

So yeah, so here's the thing, guys.

You know, we live in a land that we know is overregulated.

We know it's overburdened with all kinds of restrictions, taxes, things that prevent people

from going out and creating wealth and productivity.

But it is, Steve, at the same time, still about the only place where you can imagine

a SpaceX or a Tesla, or you could take Elon Musk, put him any other country in the world,

and none of this would be possible.

And that's not just Elon Musk.

That goes all the way

down through the economy down to the idea of setting up your own dry cleaning

store on the corner where there used to be an abandoned lot yeah and Elon

must could have gone to any country in the world any he is the most productive

human being in in history I think so I don't think any question about that that's
