No kids, you can't get on social media.

And gentlemen, this isn't just some childish fantasy that I've had about raising children in a country that is addicted to social media.

This is actually what Australia has done.

They have now banned social media. This is actually what Australia has done. They have now banned social media, basically,

TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, I think Snap, YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, basically cut them cut off everybody under the age of 16 in their country from that now stephen green the way

this is going to work is they're not they're not going to be like finding individual teenagers

or going after their parents they're basically going to be finding social media companies

if they have not done a reasonable job

of protecting Australia's young people from the poison that is social media. Now, as you might

imagine, there are many enterprising pre-16-year-olds in Australia who are already working on ways

around this so-called ban.

But this is an actual law that enjoyed a strong majority support, including a lot of

support among some young people.

Steve, I know, you know, you're a parent of teenagers, or at least

one of them still is. I've got, hang on, what's today? Today we're taping this on the ninth.

I have two teenagers for 11 more, no, at 15 more days and then it's 20.

So by the time you see this, perhaps Steve will be down like 50% on teenagers.

But in any case, Steve, you have to deal with the challenges of this kind of not just the addiction

to social media, but the way that it affects everybody's life, the way people think about other people

because of what goes on there. And wouldn't you just love to have a law that basically said
