Yeah, you know, I just found out about the passing of Kiki Shepard.

And Kiki Shepard was, I guess you call it it my co-host on Showtime at the Apollo.

Let me tell you something about Kiki.

When I first went to New York, the first time I performed on Showtime at the Apollo,

and I saw Kiki Shepard.

You know, I had been seeing Kiki Shepard on TV on the Apollo before that for years

and all the glamorous, you know, outfits and everything. And I was just like in all, wow,

that's Kiki Shepard. And after I finished that first night, she said, you was good. And so the

next time I came up there and I finished performance, she said, you was good. And so the next time I came up there and I finished performing, she said,

what your name is?

I said, Steve Harvey, she said, they like you.

And the third time I went up there was they asked me to sit in for Mark Curry,

who was the host of Showtime at DePaulo,

amateur night, and he had just gotten hanging with Mr. Cooper.

And I did the first night that Mark wasn't there,
