Roman chapter 5, first five verses from New King James, it says, therefore, having been justified by

faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by

faith into this grace in which we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance.

And perseverance, character, and character, hope. Now, hope does not disappoint because

the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Let's pause there and pray. Father God, it is good to be in your house today to give thanks for

who you are and for your word. Now as we study this passage together, we pray God, it is good to be in your house today to give thanks for who you are and for your word.

just need an extra measure of your hope today.

We thank you for these verses that remind us of our hope in you.

Paul starts out here in this passage of Romans chapter 5, talking about having peace with God

through our Lord Jesus Christ, everybody wants peace.

You know, I've never met a person that really would rather have the opposite.

You know, give me some anxiety, give me some fear, that's what I would prefer.

No, all of us want peace.

And the fact is there are a lot of people who live without it.

There are a lot of people who struggle with anxiety, who struggle with fear.

And, you know, I understand sometimes in the short term medication might even be helpful with
