retired Michigan Supreme Court Justice and Professor of Constitutional Law at Hillsdale College.

As we look toward this redistricting process across the country, all states are

Why is this conversation different in Michigan?

Well, as you may know, in 2018, the people of Michigan voted to change their process in

certain ways. In particular, they replaced the role of the state legislatures in the redistricting
