But we got to talk more

about the big news that hit last Thursday that I did a live stream about for Friday. That was our

Friday episode talking about T.J. Watt and his new deal. If you want my raw reactions to it,

why the money makes sense, all of that, that's in that episode. I'm not here to talk about that

with you today. I'm here to talk about why this deal, one, we knew it was coming. We talked about on this show, I said like, hey, all the signs point to T.J. Watts's going to sign this deal. It's going to be fine. Don't sweat about it. You're going to forget about this stuff by the start of the season. But what you do want to pay attention to are the changes that I think the Steelers have been

building their railroad to in order to be a better defense around T.J. Watt and to free him up more.

And it may not be the way that you think it is.

Watts signing is something again that we saw coming. And with the Steelers, what they've been doing, what Omar Khan's been doing, I think has been all part of a bigger plan to be a better defense as a whole and still be led by their best player. And that being T.J. Watt. Of course, T.J. Watt had 11.5 sacks last year, not a bad number, but his lowest mark in a season where he didn't miss anything more than two games since his, I think, second year, no, since his

rookie season. But I think the big thing here with T.J. Watt, when you looked at it, a lot of people
