So did you think your son would be called up so quickly?

I did not.

You know, I kind of played out in my head that was going to

happen someday, but I did not see this coming as soon as it was. And then he started to get a little

emotional when he was talking about how he found out. I'm a physician. I was in my office,

and I went and checked my phone. I had six missed calls. And I was like, sums up. And I called it back. You can hear it right there. And then he goes to the nervous laugh there at the end, but he certainly got to watch a hell of a debut for his kid. In terms of the Mets, they were down to nothing. They scored 10 times. Here was Freddie Peralta, the starting pitcher who won six for the win, talking about what the run support is.

As a pitcher, you know, it makes us feel really good, but also it helps a lot to the other position players.

So, like, the confidence that it gives you, like, whenever they're going back to heat again, like, it's different.
