obviously with Tesla announcing that they intend to stay public. Tesla's stock on Friday

finishing up 0.85% to $322.82 cents this compared to the Nasdaq up 0.8. 8.

This compared to the NASDAQ up 0.86%.

But more importantly, today in the pre-market,

we are currently trading down about 3.5% to 311 dollars per share.

but no matter what, today will be interesting to follow.

All right, so on Friday evening, 17 days after we had originally seen a blog post from Tesla called

taking Tesla private we now have a new blog post from Tesla called staying public

on Friday's episode of course I had expressed continued confidence that Tesla would very likely become a private company.

Personally, I am very happy to be wrong in this case.

I'm pleased to see that Elon Musk has reversed course and no longer intends to proceed with a private offer.

The key points from Elon Musk's blog post are, quote, given the feedback I've received, it's

apparent that most of Tesla's existing shareholders believe we are better off as a public company.

Additionally, a number of institutional shareholders have explained that they have internal

compliance issues that limit how much they can invest in a private company.

There's also no proven path for most retail investors to own shares if we were private.

Although the majority of shareholders I spoke to said they would remain with Tesla if we went private,

the sentiment in a nutshell was please don't do this. I knew the process of going
