First, let's settle in together with the sound of the bells. At the time of recording this episode, there is a lot of pain in the United States.

I think that pain is rippling throughout the rest of the world as well. It's shortly after the

murder of George Floyd and there are big cultural conversations happening

right now,

specifically around what it means to be black in America

and what it means to be white in America.

There are other very big and important conversations, tensions, and oppressions that are happening,

but this is the one that is most prevalent right now and the tension, the violence, and the

disease that is being felt across races just within humans has a multi hundred year history and so

something is being worked out right now.

It feels like there's a cultural movement

to bring things back into balance,

at least as it relates to this one particular thread of our history.

And as I've said, it's a big one.
