I'm John Bachelors, Ukraine Conflict.

The news from Europe is stark and threatening.

The accusation from both sides.

Mr. Zelensky, President of Ukraine, is called an emergency national security council meeting

to discuss the breaching of the Novakakova dam on the Daniper River Valley, leading to

at this point untold damage to the economy, to the ecology, and to the people of the Daniper

River.

This is the front line of what we're told is the counteroffensive which may or may not

be underway.

I mention at the same time this is London reporting.

London has very good information.

The Ministry of Defense seems valuable when it comes to news out of Kiev and Moscow.

Russia news agencies, Rice and London Times, claim that the dam had been destroyed in shelling

while a Russian installed official said it was, quote, a terrorist act pointing the finger

at Kiev.

So Kiev is blaming Russia, Russia's blaming Kiev, and Moscow knows that both opinions

going out there mute the reaction, but it's early hours, so I welcome Mary Kissel.

She is the executive vice president and Stevenson corporate, and she's also my veteran diplomat

to comment on these matters, because as the war fighters are watching the flooding of the

Lord in the upper and asking what's next, so are the diplomats in Moscow, in Washington,

and in Kiev.
