I'm John Batch with my colleague, Mary Kissel, executive vice president, Stevenson

cooperated, former senior adviser to the Secretary of State.

The headlines out of Europe are completely unreliable because they change every few hours,

chiefly having to do with Moscow changing its mind, the Kremlin changing its attitude,

and now Lukashenko, the dictator of Belarus.

Elbowing his way in to keep changing the rhetoric that comes out of the events of these last

days.

The Bloomberg report is that Pregosin is now in Belarus, which is a client state of the

Russian Federation.

A client state with Lukashenko as the dictator who is a lieutenant at best, Vladimir Putin.

This is not an independent state.

This is a state being occupied by Russian state security and the Russian military.

You will recall that Russia staged major combat units out of Belarus in the early months

of the invasion of Ukraine and to our understanding, there's still major Russian units based in

Ukraine in Belarus.

Lukashenko and the telegraph is making remarks that are both vain and foolish.

I stopped the Wagner Mute to save us from death.

President of Belarus has not to be, quote, made a hero for his role in the crisis.

As Putin tells troops, they prevent a civil war.

Mary, this is left reality and moved into science fiction.

However, the situation in Moscow is so non-transparent, we must comment.
