Hi, and disclosed listeners, Rabia here. Thank you so much for tuning into our fall season and thank you for listening to all of our series and supporting us all these years. I want to ask that you please support our sponsors because our sponsors support us and a big thank you to them. Without them, we couldn't continue to do the work to help the wrongfully convicted. The second thing I want to say

0:21.6

before we dive into today's episode is this. Whether it's this case or any other case that we've

0:27.4

worked on, we've actually got a tip line. So if anybody out there has some information they think

0:32.4

could help us in our investigation into this case, the state versus Greg Lance, or any of the cases we've worked on,

0:39.1

please give us a call. The tip line is 41025-5563. Once again, the tip line is 4105-5563.

1:22.6

and testimony are so vital in a criminal investigation and trial. If a witness is strong enough, meaning they're

1:28.6

credible, consistent, believable, they have a lot of power to convince a jury one way or the other.

1:35.2

But if a witness is not so great, like let's say they have some serious credibility issues, or they are

1:40.5

in general problematic, but their statements line up with other witness statements and testimony,

1:46.0

then the corroboration between witnesses becomes powerful evidence.

1:50.0

So powerful that for a jury, if you have different people kind of telling you all the same or similar story,

1:56.0

it's too much of a coincidence for those stories not to be true.

2:00.0

And, to take it up a notch, when those witnesses are the defendant's friends,

2:04.6

and the friends testify under oath for the prosecution as state's witnesses,

2:10.1

it can be the death now for the entire defense. I'm .

2:20.3
