Good morning, everyone, and welcome to the 2024 State of the Homestead Address.

I know I usually make these at the beginning of the calendar year, but we did have a couple of things distracting me back then.

But anyways, we're here now, so first off, a couple of quick life updates.

Big one, I've moved again. Yeah, I know that does make it

four moves in about five years, but homestead in the corner is now headquartered in the beautiful

city of Sacramento, California, and I honestly couldn't be happier. I've been loving it up here

so far, and my roommate and I have even adopted a wonderful little cat. Her name is Frankie,

and she is a

beautiful little chaos gremlin baby, who I'm sure you'll hear way more about than you ever wanted to

if you're listening to our behind-the-scenes content on Patreon. More on that later. Besides that, it's now

been three plus months since the end of TST, and I'm happy to report that I feel creatively rejuvenated,

recharged, and ready to jump back into making great audio fiction for our wonderful community.

Before we go any further, though, I'd just like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank

my amazing friend Virginia Spots for all of her amazing work as my co-writer, co-producer,

and creative partner since 2021.

I'm not being dramatic when I say that the last three seasons of TST couldn't have happened

without her and her incredible creativity, compassion, and love for this story, and the people we

told it with is what kept the show going and thriving for all these years.

And so it's with an immensely grateful heart that I say farewell to Virginia as she steps down

from her role as a producer and writer for Homestead to pursue her own creative projects

and goals.
