here on the hump night edition of the yard. I tell you one thing, as busy as the portal's been this week, it's tough to keep a regular schedule. It is. Because just when you get started on something, somebody else commits. And it kind of changes what you're working on so

this decided to punt to tonight when maybe things to calm down a little bit and uh wrapping up the dead

period and uh we'll kind of give you an update on the portal a little bit later in the show

got a cool top 10 list for you uh kind of a pop scent pop band that maybe you've forgotten

about and you shouldn't have we'll talk more about that we'll talk a little basketball

and you know it's whatever kind of comes to mind but I want to share this with you

because we're family and there has been a member of my

family but it's done something of significance so I want to share it with the rest of the

family and I want to give a little bit I'm going to preach a little bit okay all right to

indulge me indulge me so you guys know my youngest daughter Mia is at Harvard Law and she just

wrapped up her first semester up there and I can tell you man like in the

beginning she had to embrace to a new level of expectations it's Harvard

after all and yeah there was an adjustment period and we spoke and that's where like fatherly wisdom kind of comes in, you know.

But I'm happy to say we got her grades back yesterday, and she aced it, and she got three Dean's Prize Awards.

It's a more technical name for it. But basically one of the top

students in her class in three of her five classes. And at the end of the first year,

there is one person that wins the Sears Award. They don't make it public

because it's more about the progress than than it is any publicity but she's

now in contention to win that award as possibly the number one law student first

year law student in Harvard and that's as a Mississippi State educated young

lady had a conversation with her last night.
