Pretty good sports weekend for the Bulldogs could have been an amazing weekend we just came up short on a couple of fields and courts of play

Before we break down the win over Southern Miss,

let's tip our cap.

We'll start with James Armstrong's

Lady Bulldogs soccer team.

Come up short at Stanford,

the chance to advance to the Elite 8,

which would have brought a NCAA tournament game back to Starkville.

Probably would have set all sorts of records.

We come up short, and great effort by the ladies.

Had a chance to watch that game, and just really, really proud of that entire program.

Stanford has won 34 consecutive games.

They didn't lose a game this year.

I'll lead a record's 18-0 and 4.

That's correct.

But we didn't get outclassed.

That's the thing that I would take away from all of this.

There's been some times in the past where some Mississippi State teams would kind of advance to some historic levels, and we'd get beaten soundly, right? That wasn't the

case. We didn't get enough shots on goal, obviously, but tip at the cap to Stanford, but, man,

what a great, great, great season for the Mississippi State soccer team.

So congratulations to all involved.
