I hope many of you are probably traveling right now, so one of the reasons I want to go ahead and get the show up.

Tomorrow is the day of a family and friends and football. And we're going to talk a lot about the Ole Miss Rebels today.

We'll preview rivalry weekend.

Of course, it all gets underway tomorrow night,

the annual battle for the golden egg.

Well, again, it's one of those things too that, you know,

this rivalry, it's so interesting the you know the carpet

baggers of the world that pass through our state from time to time you know in their search for

employment as parts of stops of their journalistic career are always surprised and amazed at the

intensity of the battle for the golden egg.

We've grown up with it so we don't know anything different.

You know, a lot of people say, well, you know, Steve,

you played a part in making this rivalry so toxic.

I don't own that.

You know, I'm just a product of my environment in many respects.

But yeah, I do hope to win this game, and I look for Mississippi State to beat Ole Miss in every sporting event.

I mean, why would you not?

I remember, I think it was Angel Jones, I think, I think, that said if we did not present our national championship rings to our baseball team back in 2021, are we even rivals?

It's kind of how I feel about it too.

You know, the talk of a kinder, gentler rivalry only tends to make the rounds when Mississippi State is winning.
