Summary

Desperation a lot of times leads to innovation. Today, join Alex (@AlexHormozi) as he talks about his experiences when starting out from ground zero, having a Plan B, and the kind of mindset you should have when starting out.

Welcome to The Game Podcast where we talk about how to get more customers, make more profit per customer, and keep them longer, and the many failures and lessons we have learned along the way to $100M in sales. We've got roll-up-your-sleeves kind of hustle with a little bit of cleverness and a lot of heart.

(1:24) - For Alex, it’s actually a good thing to have a Plan B especially if you’re like him who likes having contingencies. Sometimes there are unknowns that can mess with your Plan A

(3:03) - Alex started off his Plan B by learning how to sell. But even so, he still lost it all twice: when he had to pay his employee with all he had & when he was putting up Gym Launch

(10:44) - “I no longer have fear around money, and so it allows me to play the game differently.” You’re not actually earning more income, but the learnings along the way

(12:18) - In reality, Alex wasn’t actually starting from zero. Whatever money he made, he would use it as capital/investment for the next business.

(14:57) - For Alex, it’s been cash flow positive since day one with all his business (Gym Launch, Prestige Labs, Acquisition). But his mindset always thinks that he’s starting from zero.

(16:45) -  The questions you ask dictate the problems you'll solve
