Something that I did very early on when I moved into my property and if you remember my very first sort of urban garden

the one that I kind of came up on so to speak my front yard urban garden I had one little

somewhat old three years old now I had one low quat tree so it was a bit of a

sign to me that I needed to get into the orchard game on this new piece of land, and I also

had a grapefruit, and then there was also just some random kind of trees in the backyard.

The only tree that is remaining in the backyard is an apricot tree. So I did not start out on

this homestead with pretty much anything I would have chosen myself.

So let's talk about setting up an orchard.

First of all, why is this so important in a suburban setting for an epic homestead

style approach? Well, because it is the ultimate

in perennial food production that is absolutely delicious absolutely nutritious and you can get

flavors and flavor profiles that you simply

can't really buy unless you're hitting up a farmer's market right if you go to the

store you can't get 15 different types of citrus.

If you go to the store, you can't get seven different types of peaches.

But in your own homestead, of course you can certainly grow.

I'm not going to say anything, but like almost anything that you want to in the world of fruit trees.

So I will explain my personal approach and why I'm such a big believer in it. And a lot of this is inspired by a guy from Dave Wilson Nursery.
