Hello, my name is Jesse Meekam with another episode of the Jesse Meekam show, and I'm here each week to obsess out loud about your spending. And it is all spending. Everything

you do with money is spending. Whether you like it or not, you can say you save it. It's just

spending. You're just spending it later. You can say you're doing it for retirement. That's just

spending later later. It's all just spending. And I obsess about that thing. The problem with

obsessing about something besides the fact that I can

apply almost anything to it, the problem is when you just get started with this, you start to

obsess. And while I love to have a fellow obsessor here with me, I do worry sometimes that the pace

of the new obsessor is not sustainable.

And I distinctly remember, it was 28, I say distinctly, and I can't remember the year,

it was 2019 when I fell into the rabbit hole of woodworking videos and noticed they were

very pleasant to watch.

And then I thought, if it's pleasant to watch,

wouldn't it be pleasant to do?

And so I bought myself a little table saw

and a little mitersaw and I got going in the garage.

And I went full steam ahead.

Like I was, every moment I was I went full steam ahead.

Like I was every moment I could,

I was watching videos trying to learn this with that thing.

I have no instincts for this,

no natural proclivity to working with wood in any way that is respectable.

But I was just obsessed with it.
