Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talker Radio.

We're going back to the future this morning on the Independent Republic as we continue to send a message to Downing Street and the Prime Minister that Freedom Day on June to 21st cannot now be avoided and should not be derailed by any dodgy scientists, any scaremongers of lockdown, or fanatics who are all making hay at the moment while the sun shines.

You can imagine them all sitting at home in their lovely vociferous gardens resplendent with bottles of pims and bottles of smoothies sitting there

going. Isn't it great to be working from home? Isn't it marvellous to be sitting in the garden? Well, no,

get back to work for heaven's sake, your work-shy schemers. Yesterday we learned that there was

zero deaths from COVID for the first time in 447 days.

That's right, 447 days.

The last time that happened was March 2020 when we're told no one was prepared for what was to come.

But of course, we are prepared for what may come because there is a big difference between now and then,

and it's in the form of a vaccine that is safeguarded by far and away the bulk of the population,

and certainly all of those who might be considered to be in vulnerable groups.

So as we look around the country today on yet another glorious occasion of sunshine, beaches and parks,

you can tell that people are more relaxed.

Master off, social distancing isn't much of a deal,

and it's only a few commodgians on social media now telling them they're being irresponsible.

Which is why, of course, Nicola Sturgeon's going the other way. Yeah, that's right. Nicholas Sturgeon

yesterday said, oh, we are told there still could be a chance that something could go wrong.

So it would be wrong to not take advantage of the advice of the scientists.

Well, I can tell you this.

There's an awful lot of people in Glasgow and Edinburgh and in Scotland in general who are not very happy about that.
