Summary

The brilliant Andrew Doyle returns to talk about coping with bad news and the prospect of everything getting more expensive. We discuss how non-interventionalist Trump intervening in everything is going down with the MAGA base.  We also wonder if the war might save Keir's Job. Then it's a chat about the lack of working-class writers in TV and why female characters all end up being super-heroes.  CATCH ME ON MY TOUR ‘Basic Bloke 2: There’s No Bloke Without Fire’. Is this, is the war everything in the news cycle or are there other more pressing issues domestically?

1:18.7

No, it's pretty much everything is pretty much the war and how people are reacting to the war

and the division that it's causing within the Republican Party and where the MAGA are standing on it and all of that sort of stuff. So it is basically all war at the moment. So you've got to, you know, other things are going to get swallowed up at the moment, you know? It's like when Mother Teresa died at the wrong time just when Princess Diana died. That was the wrong time to die because a lot of people barely noticed. Who went first in that? I never remember that.

1:45.0

Well, it was, no, it was Diana.

2:03.1

It was Diana. And then I think, and I think Mother Teresa, and then someone else, was it Farrah Fawcett Major or someone a couple of days later, but it didn't matter. It was all about Diana. I hope I haven't just named someone who's actually still alive. I always remember when the pandemic started and the lockdown happened.
