Hello and welcome to this week's episode of what most people think and we are in a big political season here sandwich between Labor

conference with the Tory conference coming up so at times like these I need to bring in a big

political heavy weight of the scene so on that note Ian Dale joins us live from a

hotel somewhere I think I think you say but instead we've got Ian Dale but instead

we've got he was he was available

Ian conference season just in a general thing which one is the most fun who who gets on it the

most who's making the worst life decisions while at conference which party well I've been going

to party conferences since 1985 can you believe so this will be my 40th year.

And I think I've only missed one year for the Tories.

I've been going to Labour once since 1998.

I used to run the bookshop at Labour and Lib Dem and Tory conferences.

And Lib Dems the same.

So all in all, I've probably been to about, I don't know, 80 or 90 times, what, four days each.

That means I spent a year of my life at party conferences.

I mean, how fucking sad is that?

A friend of mine used to come with us to help us at the bookshop at the three party conferences,

and she used to run Liberal Democrat publications.

She's never really a particularly liberal

democrats so i said to one no one ever really is mate you know i mean that is the thing which of these three

do you like best she said well i enjoy going to the tory one because they're all quite polite
