The specter of Peter Mandelson's appointment to the biggest ambattorial post in the diplomatic circuit back in December 2024,

despite his well-documented close friendship with the world's most prolific pedophile,

is still threatening to engulf Kirstama's premiership.

After it came to light on Thursday that Mandelson failed vetting before taking up his post as ambassador to the US,

the Prime Minister has maintained that he was kept completely in the dark about this by civil servants in the foreign office until last Tuesday.
