| 0:00.0 | Hello, my friends. Welcome back. It is time for you and me to get our minds aligned |
| 0:08.0 | with the truth of God through our study of the Scriptures. Here on The Morning Mindset, |
| 0:12.6 | my name is Kerry Green. I'm thankful that you joined me today. We are walking through |
| 0:17.4 | a very short New Testament letter called Philemon. This is a letter the Apostle Paul wrote |
| 0:23.4 | to his friend Philemon and his family. And we see at the beginning of the passage the |
| 0:29.8 | church that meets in his house as well. And I think it's important for us to keep that |
| 0:33.7 | in mind because the Apostle Paul is writing this to a larger group. Now it's interesting, |
| 0:39.6 | as we look at the language of the letter, he definitely is speaking directly to Philemon, |

| 1:17.8 | as believers of Jesus Christ. So before we dive in today, I just want to say thank you |
| 1:23.9 | for listening. I want to welcome those who are listening from all around the world. |
| 1:27.6 | We have people in the United States, naturally, that's where I published this episode for |
| 1:32.8 | more of this podcast from. But we also have people listening in Cameroon and in Slovakia |
| 1:39.2 | and in Finland and Sweden. And we have people in Paraguay and Bolivia. Thank you so much |
| 1:44.7 | for listening to the morning mindset. I'm glad you are here. All right, as we dive in today, |
| 1:51.5 | the situation is one in which the Apostle Paul has met a runaway slave named Onesimus and has |
| 1:58.8 | led him to place his faith in Jesus Christ. So he's now a believer in Jesus Christ. And Paul |
| 2:05.7 | finds out this runaway slave Onesimus belongs to his friend Philemon and his family. And so Paul |
