Is that not an amazing verse?

Let me read it again.

Just think about this statement from Paul to these Christians

in Thessalonica. He says, for now we live if you are standing fast in the Lord. Like Paul's saying,

I find my life in seeing you stand fast, stand firm in Jesus. Like, I live for this. And I just want you to think

about what your life would look like today, what my life would look like today if we lived for

this purpose to help people around us stand fast in the Lord. To help people around us grow closer to God, stand strong,

firm, steadfast in Jesus. That's a good way to live today. I just want you to look at the

people around you, either right now or think about the people

you will be around today, or if you're listening to this at night, tomorrow, and think,

okay, what would I do if my purpose today in life was to help other people stand fast in you?

How would that affect your prayer life?

Surely, like, you'd be praying continually for

other people. If you were living to see them, stand firm in the Lord, it would change your

conversations with other people. It would change your approach to every interaction with other

people. Like, the purpose of my life today is to help you stand fast in the Lord. And if that

person that you're with is a follower of Jesus,

then you're just looking for ways to encourage them,

to build them up in faith.
