In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk, that deepen your understanding of God's Word,

and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, you know,

if you listen to the news or even look out your window, these are trying times. But if you are a believer, you've got to also believe that you are living and breathing on the earth for such a time

as this, that there's wisdom that God has in his heart,

for your heart to navigate these times, that you have purpose for your steps, that he wants

power in your prayers. He wants to redeem your perspective. And the enemy wants the opposite of all

that. He wants you to get into such a series of reactions that all you're doing is shouting at the screen on the news because you're so mad and cowering and fear because you're so afraid.

And yet God has called us to live and breathe on the earth for such a time as this.

And this is a powerful time to be a believer.

Yes, the enemy has come in like a flood.

Yes, he is bold.

And yes, the times are dark,

but the brightness of Christ will never be extinguished. And as we, my pastor always says,

you don't shake your fist at the darkness. You shine brighter still. And so today we're going to talk about how to stand firm in your faith when the world is falling apart. And that's

the subtitle of our friend Robert Morgan's book, Whatever Happens.
