heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life.

I want you to know who I'm thinking about today.

I'm thinking about the person.

You're walking through a private struggle, and you feel invisible to God, unseen by people, like you're bearing it all alone. That's who I want to talk to today. God sees you. He loves you. And even though there's times we feel alone and it feels like we're bearing the burden alone, it's just never true because God

is with you. He's Emmanuel. He's with you. A verse I find myself going back to time and time again.

Psalm 139-5. You both proceed and follow me. You place your hand of blessing upon my head. He's going

before you. He's clear in the way. He's got your back and he's got his fatherly

hand of blessing and favor on your head. So it won't always feel like that. But don't buy into the

lie that you are invisible to God, that nobody cares about your struggle. You're so not alone. It's the

enemy who isolates. It's the enemy who condemns. It's God who vindicates and who reminds us that we're part of a much bigger story than we can imagine at the moment. I'm so excited to welcome my friend Alice and Allen back to the show. It's been way too long since we've had her on this show. She's got a new book. And her writing, just as a writer, I just got to say the writing of itself is lyrical and beautiful.

I feel like she took me by the hand and walked me along the beach on the ocean.

I could hear the crashing of the waves as she talked to me about being invisible, feeling unseen,

when in fact we're seen, we're secure and free.

And that's the title of our new book.
