We're going to be in Luke, Luke, Luke, Chapter 11.

We're going to talk, obviously, about prayer.

My prayer life started out very early.

My public ministry prayer life actually started very, very early.

Sort of unintentionally. As many of you know,

I grew up in Dillon, South Carolina. But my daddy said the best thing ever come out of Dillon,

South Carolina is I-95, and he's right, all right. So it's kind of on the way to Myrtle Beach.

If you've ever seen Pedro's Place, it's called South of the Borders, like that tacky fireworks, stand, gas station.

That's where I grew up, all right? And so, so when I was in the first grade, Dylan has this

tradition that the first grade class does a play, but not just a school play. They really do it for

the whole town. And it's hosted on a Friday night in the Dylan theater. And so there was

auditions for the first grade class,

and there were actors, and there were singers, and there were dancers. And so I failed at all three

of those. And so everybody, you know, has to be in the play. And so my job was the welcome guy.

That's it, because I had no talent whatsoever, and so I had to do the welcome. And my job, this was it. All I had to do, and we had rehearsal, and we practiced, and I practiced no talent whatsoever and so I had to do the welcome and my job this was it all I had

to do when we had rehearsal and we practiced and I practiced my line and it was this is that I would

stand on the stage of the Dillon Theater and then with the curtains open I would say welcome to the

Dylan theater we hope you enjoy the show and that was it and then I was supposed to walk off

and so we rehearsed and I practiced and we did it and then I was supposed to walk off and so we rehearsed

and I practiced and we did it and then on the night that the play was on it was a Friday night
