And on today's show, we have Stan and Jack, Stan and Jack, two names that are synonymous with each other, except it's not that Stan.

It's not that Stan. It's not that Stan. But it's that Jack. It is Stanley. Is it Stanley? Because it could be Stanley. Nope. It's Stanley Kubrick.

And the King of Comics, Jack Kirby. Their creative paths met at one incredible intersection

with a work that was about eight years apart,

but we have never brought it before until today.

And I'm going to tell you some of the behind the scenes,

what possessed Stanley Kubrick, hunt down and produce 2001.

We're going to go to some of those conspiratorial places with Stanley.

We can't say Stanley Kubrick without visiting that,

but we are going to embrace all that the King of Comics did

because he not only gave us an adaptation, he took it a step further.

He created a comic series based on this, which,

and you're going to find out, was the basis for two brand new series. I believe the inspirations

are right in front of you. One is obvious, one not so obvious, but it created two brand new series

for Marvel Comics, Stan and Jack, Kubrick and the King on an all new episode of Rob'servations.
