Deadpool comic book coming out as I record this podcast, as I record this opening. And I'm

going to take you into every decision why I chose the story I chose, what went into

depicting the different characteristics, the plot, the motivations. How do I produce an individual

page of comic book art? Because I know

that I do it different than so many others. Why do I collaborate with the collaborators

that I work with and have done so for so long? What is that factor that brings us together?

I have been making the comics for 37 years. It's going to be 38 years any day now, but 37 spectacular years of creating comics following a lifetime. For me, that was 18 years prior to being hired, a lifetime of just loving comics.

Loving comics. They are my passion. I love comic books. I love comic book storylines, comic book characters.

I love the subplots, the cliffhangers, the splash pages, the double page

splashes, all the big fun images. Look, it was only a matter of time until I was going to do this

for a living. And I did thank the good Lord I was able to land a comic book gig when I did. I was

working construction. I was waiting tables. I was delivering pizzas

all in anticipation of this big break, this big day. And it came. And what I have done on this podcast

is I have tried to take you down the same road that I traveled, especially in the first year,

year or so's worth of the podcast. I really walk you through

my progression, my romance, love affair, falling in love with comics, how they grew, how they

expanded the characters that took center stage, the events that shaped some of the more exciting
