| 0:10.0 | I hope you also took some time to carve out space where you could make a commitment based on yesterday's episode, |
| 0:19.0 | as we are doing this 2022 prep series right here between Christmas and the New Year, |
| 0:24.0 | if you did not hear yesterday's episode. |
| 0:27.0 | And the day before, where we kind of set the stage for what we're doing. |

| 0:40.0 | Today, I want to be talking to you about stability in the New Year and the promise of stability that you can have this New Year. |
| 0:49.0 | Does that sound outlandish for me to say? Does that sound crazy to believe that God promises us stability? |
| 0:56.0 | And security? Friends, he does exactly that. And we're looking again at Psalm chapter 16 verses 8 through 11. |
| 1:05.0 | But we're only going to get through verse number eight, because that's where this concept of stability comes about. |
| 1:11.0 | Now notice what David says. He says, I have set the Lord always before me. |
| 1:17.0 | Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. |
| 1:23.0 | You hear those last five, six words, I shall not be shaken. Yeah, that's five. I can count. I shall not be shaken. |
| 1:31.0 | David had confidence. Not that his life would be free of trouble, or that his life would be a panacea of peace. |
| 1:40.0 | Now think about David's life. David's life is full of warfare. He had a man named Saul who used to be a friend of his chasing him down, trying to kill him. |
| 1:48.0 | Later on in his life, he has his own son rebel against him. And David's life was full of conflict. Yet he has this confidence. |
| 1:58.0 | I, in my being, who I am, shall not be shaken. And friends, where does that confidence come from? |
| 2:06.0 | It comes from the previous statement that he makes, which is what I alluded to yesterday. It's why you need to go back and listen to that episode. |
| 2:13.0 | If you haven't, David had made a decision to set the Lord always before him. |
| 2:20.0 | And as a result, the next phrase, because he, the Lord, is at David's right hand, David shall not be shaken. |
| 2:28.0 | You see, friends, there's something very practical that comes about from putting our mind and our heart on the Lord continually, day by day. |
